Product Update: A New, Faster Way of Scheduling Shifts and More

What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with some great new improvements to your employee scheduling experience?

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new in your Humanity app this month:

New Shift Creation Experience

We’ve redesigned your shift creation experience in hopes of making it easier and faster for you to create a work shift than ever before.

To enable the new shift creation experience, click on the “Use new Shift Creation” button located next to the Publish button.

Auto-Enabling Leave Types

Making it faster and easier to assign leave types to employees is a very common request that we’ve been getting from our customers.

(By the way, did you know we have a Community where customers can submit feature requests?)

We’re happy to say that we’ve officially made assigning leave types in bulk a possibility.

Managers used to have to go to each employee’s individual profile to assign leave types to them. But now there’s an auto-enabling option you can use to speed up the process.

Head over to Settings > Leave & Availability.

You’ll notice that a new checkbox option has been added to each of your existing leaves: When adding new staff automatically assign this leave type.

If you check this box, the following prompt will appear:

If you click on “Yes,” this leave type will automatically be assigned to your entire existing staff list.

If you click “No, only for future staff,” the leave type will be assigned to every new employee you add to your account in the future.

This means that whenever you add a new employee to your Humanity account, this leave type will be assigned to that employee automatically. You won’t have to do it manually anymore.

Also, don’t forget that if you want to unassign leave types for a larger group of employees all at once, you can use our bulk edit feature.

Customize Your Navigation Branding

You can now personalize your Humanity account visually to coincide with your company branding.

Click on Settings > Branding Options to get started.

There are three ways you can customize your account branding:

  • Add your logo to the navigation to replace the Humanity logo.
  • Add a background image to your company login page.
  • Change the color of your navigation, navigation text and headings.
